Whatsapp is now changing its current business model from product based to a subscription fee based. This will either make or break for Whatsapp as this application now has a Whatsapp expired  for users to be aware of. It is not a free application and it will cost you a $0.99 per year. It not that expensive and will not cost a dent to your pocket. Howver, competitors will have the upper hand if they can come up with totally free instant messaging application.
